Cycling and walking
The region is simply a haven for nature lovers and those enjoying the great outdoors. walks

Enjoy a forest adventure at High Lodge Thetford Forest. Unwind with beautiful forest walks or try the excitement of the bike trails, Go Ape and adventure play. Also available is the Forest Segway experience, Pump Track, BBQ hire, Picnic Cinema.

Other activities
Fishing at Oxborough lakes, Golf at Ryston Park golf club, welcomes visitors.

On the wild side

Sandy beaches at Old Hunstanton, Crabbing at Wells, Heacham, Holkham, Burnham Market, Cromer and Sheringham. We love to visit the seals on a boat trip to Blakeney Point.

Boughton Wild Walk 
A two hour wildlife walk around Boughton Fen (wellies essential!)
Free public access with signposted Wildlife Walk around the perimeter.

Visitor attractions

We are fortunate to be surrounded by many National Trust Properties locally.

Oxburgh Hall 
A magnificent 15th Century moated Manor House (National Trust).

Although not National Trust, we are also close to The Royal Sandringham Estate, fabulous for walks and also fantastic children’s play area!

Rare Breeds Centre
Fun for little people at Church Farm, Stow Bardolph. A wonderful children’s farm, with many rare breed animals and tractor rides.

City of Ely
A visit to the Cathedral City of Ely, home to ‘The Ship of The Fens’, one of the most magnificent Cathedrals in England. Enjoy a trip on the river and afternoon tea Peacocks Tearoom.

Historic Market Towns
Visit the market towns old Downham Market or Swaffham.
