One of the National Trust most picturesque properties is giving up its secrets as mayor 6 million restoration project uncovers a wealth of surprises. The hall made international head lines in August when the archeologist working in the hall attic rooms uncovered a genuine treasure trove. An old cigarette packet and an empty chocolate box from the 1940s were rather mundane as also were found illuminated manuscripts fragments of a 16th century books and the remains of a high quality Elizabethan textiles a remarkable discovery to add to the already vivid story of Oxburgh Hall.
